Cee’s challenges us this week to focus on Isolated Subjects so off we go on the search of some suitable shots…
She posed patiently and confidently making sure her fans had ample time to focus on her long graceful neck. Not like…
…this irate lady. I wonder what or who cheesed her off?
Could it be this billy goat? He does have a sheepish air about him doesn’t he? Sorry about the kid Cee but you know how they are – poking their noses in matters which are none of their business.
This is the Lion Monument at Lucerne. It is a giant mortally wounded lion carved out of a wall of sandstone rock above a pond. It was designed by Bertel Thorvaldsen as a memorial for the mercenary soldiers from central Switzerland who lost their lives while serving the French king Louis XVI during the French Revolution.
Mark Twain was particularly taken in by the monument. He called it “the most mournful and moving piece of stone in the world.”
It does look rather tragic doesn’t it?
Let’s move on to wider and cheerier places. Sorry don’t quite remember where this is 😦
My final selection for this collection. A saleswoman displaying her mouthwatering (can’t you just taste the sourness?!) array of natural goodies for the intrepid traveler scaling or returning from the Singhgadh fort near Pune, India.
Until next time – thank you for your visit and note 🙂
Is that a Ram? 🤔🤔 I love rams 😉

Yes quite amazing how a stone can speak of so much pain and anguish
