Lost in the Wilderness

Words 175

Admit it Chotti you are lost.

‘Nonsense!’ Furious, Chotti scrubbed her face.

Why did you go off with Rishabh?

‘That %^$@*&!’ Chotti adjusted the stole over her torn neckline.

Just to make Shubham jealous?

‘Shut up dammit.’

A mewling halted her in-house altercation.

Peering though the foliage, Chotti gasped – an abandoned baby.

“Aren’t we a pair?” Chotti muttered as she swaddled the baby in her stole.

At the picnic, her plans to ‘show’ that insufferable obnoxious Shubham had backfired. Rishabh had an agenda of his own and worse, she had lost her phone in the ensuing scuffle.

She was lost.

The baby needed medical care.

ASAP.

The crunch of footsteps alarmed her.

Rishabh?

“You!”

Shubham took in her disheveled appearance and the baby in her arms.

His brow quirked. “That was umm… quick.”

“Very funny.” She glared – she could have hugged him. “Stop following me!”

“Then stop getting into trouble.” He draped his jacket over her.

“Good thing I did!” Chotti retorted, cuddling the baby. “If I hadn’t, she would have been lost forever.”

  1. Lol…he was “too quick” to make the observation :D…seems like she has inherited the ego genes in its entirety …loving this ASRish Shubham too…he isn’t as much the original…a bit more lovable i feel

  2. Dalhia, I have been reading Silver Streaks on and off for the last few months.
On and off because I did not want to let go, by reading is installments I could extend my gratification you see.

I would love for you to continue with it – there is so much we don’t know. Does guddu make it to NASA, chotti ‘s love story and journey to becoming a Dr.
Surely RV will continue until Arnav is at least 90 – so another 3 decades.

What you have done in SS is something that no other writer has or can do.
    Kudos.

    1. Thank you Monica for the high praise. But I dont think i should take any credit for it – it was as if I was possessed. To tell the truth, even I would love to know what happens next! I wait in hopeful anticipation of magical inspiration. But until then, at the most I can attempt a few OS, in fact one Arshi OS is lying half-done for a couple of months now due to lack of proper inspiration for the last bit. Quite quite frustrating. But i have no choice but to wait for their story to flow 😦 Thank you so much for your encouragement and support – perhaps, just perhaps I may finish the OS 😉 Fingers crossed!
