All day long
I wait for
darkness to fall,
for them to slip into
the folds of my sleeves
and doze off.
Alone
I
begin
the
search
for
myself.

Yes, they really do. And the image of the birds settling themselves is very tranquil. One could perhaps read the poem as about motherhood. What do you think?

Let’s hope it’s not hiding in that tree, in the dark – you’ll have a right job on finding it!
(lovely photo by the way. one of yours)

It is actually beautiful, the lines with at are like a crown on the princess head, you are already a master of words….though the tree is so beautiful, but the background has a feeling of eeriness, but the lines bring an innocence and leaves a very blessed feeling in the end….keep going stronger!
