Silver Streaks & Passwords

A 2025 Update

Hello Peepuls

Hello again, and a rather belated Happy New Year to all of you. I report back to say that my experiment was a total flop and over-ambitiousness led me to lose whatever little focus I had and ended up being banished from the world of stories.

But all is not lost. At least i don’t think so for i managed to salvage something out of these past couple of years or more and i have a story on my hands (which some of may have had a sneak preview of and then left high and dry – sorry!!!)

But this story is not of Arnav and Khushi but another pair. Perhaps you might be interested? I hope to begin posting it soon and looking forward to your indulgence and participation.

Although to be honest, i feel a bit rusty and awkward, speaking to a non-existent audience. Hope there will be participation, protests and comments from the readers. Thank you in advance.

And perhaps, just perhaps, if i get this story 3S [Some Sugar & Spice] out of my system, i can go back to tracing Arnav and Khushi onward journey. But don’t hold your breath 🙂

Do join me and make yourself heard! All thoughts – the good the bad and the ugly (painted with politeness) are welcome 😀

This morning i had a moment of epiphany – life is short who knows what lies around the corner. So here are the passwords:

Edit 3rd November 2025: A mail by a reader was a welcome bolt from the blue and kick started another chain of thought – so for now Some Sugar and Spice is password protected until further notice 😀

Silver Streaks

1-100 JLT
100-200 ASR
200-300 Punya
300-400 HRNK
400-500 Crazy
500 – Lunatic

Moonshine

Rajani

(If that doesnt work at places, try Anisha or Biji)

The other stories including the currently ongoing Some Sugar & Spice do not have any passwords

Your good wishes are all i seek.

PS: For some strange reason, this page has the highest views. I would have never known but for a WordPress notification! Thank you silent visitors, how about a hello once in a while. Helps me to churn out more rambling yarns.

PPS:  In case you’ve been too immersed in IPK and SS to notice, I published a Breaking Free: A Novella & Other Stories in 2020. If you liked SS, who knows you may enjoy that too? Go on, try it. And let me know your thoughts

PPPS: I also published an ebook (just 21 pages long and is an expanded version of a scene from SS season 2): Draupadi’s Shame: The Mahabharata Reimagined – just for your information, no pressure

first one is for IPK original and the second one inspired by the Advay-Chandni fiasco (likely to make sense only if you watched it) 😀
Hope you will take some time out to share your thoughts on any that you may read – thanks!

  5. Hello Dahlia,
Along with posting the older stories, can you build to the story too — especially the stories on Guddu, Chotti and Ankit based on the short stories that gave us a brief glimpse into their lives?

    1. Hi Maitri! I certainly hope to do so but am rather tied up in other things at the moment but hopefully things will settle down and I will be able to sneak off to their world as well 🙂 Appreciate your interest in the kids too!

  6. Hello Dahlia,
I have read SS multiple times already — glad to be re-reading them and finding new meaning in it.
Please add more chapters too — how did Chotti and and Shubham meet, fight and love (and fight?)?

    1. Hi Varsha! Thanks for the kind words 🙂 I have been contemplating on a sort of a season 2 for SS but needed to brush up on season 1 first. So I am hoping while reposting SS I will be able to touch base with the other characters and take them further. That is what I hope but whether the characters will be as malleable is what one shall have to wait and watch!

      1. Wow, Dahlia….never thought you had such a plan in your mind.
by the way, while reading I was thinking- are you editing the chapters while reposting them..it must be either that or my memory is failing me..For eg. I don’t remember Deva calling buaji as badbooji…so is it an addition this time or it is my bad memory power..
Anyhow, just wanted to add- that most of the times I fail/forget/become lazy to comment..but always look forward to read and be with ASR and KKGSR and now their kids…
Can’t understand this obsession even after such a long time though..
Thank you to you too for contributing towards keeping IPK fresh in our minds…

      2. I am afraid Nisha you need to exercise those grey cells a bit more (like me) for even I had forgotten all about this and so many other things – memory is failing for sure 😉 I am really not changing anything other than major typo errors. Obsession toh har jagah hai! 😀 Thank you for your kind comments – much appreciated 🙂

    1. Yes Anjali AD has been rather harsh this year and it is to heal find hope and succour that I have turned to the time tested way! Your comment brought tears to my eyes both in a good way and touching a raw nerve that I was desperately trying to ignore. Take care.

      1. Thanks! I saw this blog post was old but then reposted again (they don’t have dates!). So I got a little confused. Will you be starting SS2 again soon?
Overall, how is AD? How was the stay at home period for you? Hope you are safe and healthy!

      2. Actually I havent been writing anything for quite sometime and visitors still come but for SS so I put the SS page as the main static page for easier navigation. Yes I am working in SS2 although havent worked out the dates yet. Perhaps somewhere mid to end July. AD is what can I say doing what it does best, being a pain – for the entire world! And doesnt seem prepared to take a back seat anytime soon. Still working from home. How are things at your place. Hope you and your loved ones are doing well. Take care and thanks for your wishes 🙂

      3. That is great that you’re able to work from home. I have been working from home since early March. Otherwise getting Amazon and Instacart deliveries. I live in a big apartment, so I’m worried about touching common surfaces with all these people and hence I don’t step out of the house very often (perhaps every 10 days). However. I get to enjoy love views of the river and sunset from my apartment balcony! So this keeps me happy and sane!

      4. We’ve been under lockdown since 22 March. Since then I have stepped out of my building once. My husband is worried about my sanity. I laughed it off until I decided to go for season 2😅🤣🤣🤣

  10. Hello,

I have somehow missed out on teething this story and frankly the amazing reviews make me jealous of existing readers.

I would love the link to your story, if possible.
