Gate-crashing

Words 100

Alone and lonely, she wandered from window to window.

Perhaps a walk?

But it was hot and humid.

The freshly scrubbed trees waved and urged her out.

Oh! A beehive!

And an exotic flowery creeper.

Lucy swished by holding a kitten by the scruff.

How cute!

“Where are the others, Lucy?”

Pulling out her phone, she snapped pictures.

Perspiring, she halted.

She hadn’t meant to come here.

She didn’t belong here.

Not anymore.

She hesitated.

The party, on in full swing, beckoned her.

Could she?

Dare she?

Oh shut up!

“Hello! I am back. How’re you all?”
