The Monster
Words 101
“Nani,” Chotti pulled at her granny’s hand, “let’s go the other way.”
“But that’s so much longer dear!”
“Chotti is terrified of afraid of that,” Deva snickered nodding his head.
“That’s just a hill.”
“No Nani,” Angel clung to her hand “that’s a monster from space. It’s face was eaten up by the creeper.” Her eyes were wide with terror.
“Deva.” Nani looked at him reprovingly.
“It wasn’t me! “He raised his hand solemnly, but couldn’t quite hide the gleam in his eye.
“Chotti,” Deva capitulated, “the creeper is actually trying to save the poor monster from being completely washed away.”

Have a super weekend and thanks for dropping by.
When myth becomes real, the believe alone is enough to scare the world.

A story that I can relate to, it fits some of Devon’s coast spot on.

Deva’s story makes sense but he did tell Angel that the creeper was actually saving the cliff from being washed away. I prefer the monster cliff though.I saw similar cliff near Portsmouth (South England) and the shape look like a Dragon mouth full of white teeth.😀

It’s easier to work within the confines of one’s beliefs than to try to eat them away like the creeper.

Dear Dahlia,
Nani has her work cut out for her with these two. I feel for Chotti. My brother used to make up stories to terrorize me, too. Nicely done.

Brothers will be brothers. My brother’s idea of fun was to make either of us cry. I learnt pretty early not to fall for his shenanigans. 😀 Thanks Rochelle

A child’s imagination can be mighty, which can be a benefit or a hindrance. In this case it hurts the child.

Lol I love the two versions. I don’t blame the little one from being afraid though, sounds scary.

Are Chotti and Angel the same character?
I thought this was a perfect example of older brother teasing little sister 🙂

Yes they are the same character. My bad. I should have used the same name. A favorite character of mine and reflexly used them interchangeably. Appreciate your reading and noticing! 😅
