She woke with a feeling of being trapped.
A heart attack?
Whom could she call at this hour of the night?
An ambulance?
But somebody would be needed for the paperwork.
How had she been reduced to this?
Once surrounded by a full family, today, there was no one.
βDear God, is there not a single person who is mine? Am I that bad?β
A blinding light enfolded her even as a voice boomed.
Even in this life you didnβt learn what I sent you here for β no one belongs to you. You belong to none. You belong to Light.

Interesting concept. I wonder if I’ve yet completed my mission.

It’s an ongoing process, until it is achieved – then one is not in doubt π

In some forms of Judaism, it is believed each of us is a shard of light from the Divine sent here to uncover other pieces of light so we may illuminate the world. When we die, our unique spark rises to rejoin the Divine creator.

How lovely. Thank you for sharing this James. In Hinduism too there is a similar concept. Advaita, meaning “non-dualism” or “not two,” is a Hindu philosophical concept in the Vedanta, that emphasizes the oneness of reality.

I hope she gets the help she needs. It made me think that we certainly do need more light in the world today, we just need to shine ours. Lovely, Dahlia!

Dahlia, such a heart-wrenching story. I wonder if, once the wisdom has been imparted, she’ll be able to return to the living? Nobody deserves to go like that π¦

I suppose not but then most of us do not learn the easy way. Thank you for reading Lisa.

Dear Dahlia,
That’s quite a revelation. Perhaps it will defer her heart attack. Well done.
