Just 4 Fun # 80

IMG-20180308-WA0002

Why wait for a new day? Every moment is a chance to change your life 🙂 So what do I have for you this week? Hmm let me see. How about some aphorisms?

Aphorism is a statement of truth or opinion expressed in a concise and witty manner.

1. I read that 4,153,237 people got married last year. Not to cause any trouble….but shouldn’t that be an even number?

2. I find it ironic that the colors red, white and blue stand for freedom until they are flashing behind you.

3. Relationships are a lot like algebra. Have you ever looked at your X and wondered Y?

4. You know that tingly little feeling you get when you love someone? That’s common sense leaving your body

5. My therapist says I have a preoccupation with vengeance. We’ll see about that!

6. I think my neighbor is stalking me as she’s been Googling my name on her computer. I saw it through my telescope last night.

7. Money talks … but all mine ever says is good-bye.

8. You’re not fat, you’re just easier to see.

9. If you think nobody cares whether you’re alive, try missing a couple of payments.

10. Money can’t buy happiness, but it keeps the kids in touch!

So which one is your favorite? I think mine is about love and that tingly feeling 😀 Anyway moving on, some amazing art works

Just look at the detailing and how gravity defying they seem to be

IMG-20180308-WA0052Are they even touching?

IMG-20180308-WA0053We do this all the time – defy overwhelming forces, break free of suffocating pressures and wear a smile to office but how are these inanimate sculptures doing it?

This one is my favorite and I can identify with it too – half the time I am elsewhere. What about you?

Love

Not difficult to imagine at all right? Although the gender could be as per your choice 😉

phonepocketI think she got a bit confused as to put what where 😀

Sharp

So how sharp are you? 😉

TOTD

Just like I don’t working out because that means I will have to give up on my blogging time. Any tips on how to manage both?

That’s it from me this week and as usual everything is borrowed stuff  – hope you enjoyed. Do let me know your favorite. Thanks.

  1. Perhaps one of the weddings was a Mormon marrying more than one wife at the same time.
I loved the sculptures of fairies distributing Dandelion seeds.
Mamma knew where to keep her baby, safe in her pocket while she gets on with her important work.
    Have a good evening Dahlia.

    1. I am sure that could be a reason for the odd number of married people! Even I was captivated by the dandelion seeds scattering but didnt trust my botanical knowledge to say so! 😀 Have a super day Ferdi 🙂

    2. I must dispel this myth about Mormons today. If a man takes more than one wife, he is not a Mormon. If he was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon), and chooses to do so, then he would not only be breaking the law of the land but he would be ex-communicated from the church. I hope you don’t take offense at my writing this. I just want the truth known. Thanks.

      1. Oh no not at all. On the contrary it is great to have one’s misconceptions corrected – thanks! I am glad I visited the spam folder which I do once in while just to clear up all the accumulated junk. And for a change I found some precious comments 🙂

      2. I know what you mean. I don’t understand how WP determines because I sometimes find comments in spam from people who have commented numerous times! Oh, well. Guess it’s just to keep us on our toes! LOL!

  2. have so many favs here – but maybe the pencil one is an image I need to borrow and show some folks – so that is a top one…
    but this is a fav:

I read that 4,153,237 people got married last year. Not to cause any trouble….but shouldn’t that be an even number?
and the kissing the money one has many layers…
    and DawD

  3. Oh and one thing I say – is to do a little work out before you blog – get it out of the way even if you blog a little less.
    Here is why.
your health is on the line and the “earth clinic” guy – I think that was the online place – well he had a stroke it might have been related to wayyyyyyy too much sitting (and he admitted to writing a lot on that health site and sitting and sitting).
and I have not watched a lot of seinfeld but do know many snippets and the one that comes to mind right now is “morning guy and night guy”
seinfeld once noted that night guy wants to stay up and out late – but if he is not careful – there will be no morning guy and morning guy is who allows late night guy to exist

ok – I chopped that up but hopefully made a point – which is that if you do not take care of your physical health with some appropriate workouts (not saying be a cardio junkie – but keep the blood flowing and watch the sitting) well there will be no blogging DawD….
so workout first cos you know the blogging will get done 🙂

    1. Aww thanks so much Y for caring and that push 🙂 I do sit around most of the day but i agree the consequences can be far-reaching. So I am trying to work out, I really am.

      1. well later this year I hope to share more health things I have learned here and there (time to pay it forward) and my spouse is getting certified as a health coach and so it is really his points that I am thinking of right now.
but the good news is that there are small things we can do that make a big difference.
the cardio junkie thing is not ideal and so you might find small spurts of workouts are more doable and change your life more.
        – like on your next 5 minute walk – sprint three times.
or buy a small trampoline and jump 50 to 200 times – 2 or 3 x a day. It stimulates lymph flow and helps so much.

      2. well the tramp idea is not at all mine = and serious – I think it is called rebounding and it is a potent lymph flow helper and has bone health stuff and I cannot tell you how many folks use it for healing (I was in a lot of healing gorups way back when and it was so encouraging when folks would come on and say, “I am on my third rebounder” cos they wore out two others and they were getting really strong and healthy. Or they would say, “Up to 200 bounces now”
or “was herxing and did 50 jumps and felt refreshed”

herxing is when you are having a flu like healing crisis when restoring health = you might now – but just FYI

in fact I am going to bounce on mine right now –
I use mine when I cannot make it to other things

  4. Loved the stalking one. The snaps are creative too. There is one creative gift article that i recently saw – flowing tap of water thats not connected to a water source and careful observation reveals the artistic puzzle

  5. Enjoyed reading the aphorisms especially 4,5&6
Are those real works of art…like do they exist physically or just on a computer…anyways amazing imagination!
