The Conformist

Oft on my travels I see

the path diverging into the woods

winding and snaking into nothingness

shielding spooky ghosts and fanged monsters

concealing priceless pearls and gems

Oft on my travels I see

the path diverging into the woods

whispering gripping gut wrenching

enchanting irresistible

alluring tales

Oft on my travels I see

the path diverging into the woods

wondrously I probe the unknown darkness

until the known Devil leads me

back to the well trodden path

      1. Yep. I was surprised too but maybe it was because of the way you described all those dark things. I just think my generation is spoiled by JK Rowling because now we equate anything mystical or supernatural to her world in the HP books.

      2. Why just your generation. Even I am an HP fan, had quite a bit of trouble when the later volumes came out – who was going to read first my son or me 😀

  1. Loved the words that you have stringed along with a deeper meaning…words…loved the flow, its so refreshing inspite of being a bit dark….you have almost written a story of your own…

    1. It was sort of born out of frustration. I wanted to probe deeper, see what mysteries lay beyond but there were so many household chores calling…
